Currency codes are used for billing and accounting purposes.
EditView Currency Codes
To view a list of currency codes currently defined in LegalSuite, make the menu selection
Administration⇒System Codes⇒Currency Codes from the navigation bar.

To view information regarding a specific currency code, click on a code on the list. The Currency Code Details page will appear with details on that code. Refer to the section "Add a Currency Code" for an explanation of the fields on that page.
EditAdd a New Currency Code
To add a new currency code, click on the
ADD NEW ENTRY button on the Currency Codes page.

All fields marked with an asterisk "*" are required.
1. Code* - Enter the currency code that pretains to you - Example: US Dollar, Euro, etc.
2. Exchange Rate* - Exchange rate refers to how much one currency is worth in terms of another. Enter the value of the currency this code is for in terms of dollars. For example, an exchange rate of 102 Japanese yen means one U.S. dollar is equivalent to 102 Japanese yen.
3. Exchange GL* – Select a general ledger from the pull-down menu that will use the currency code and exchange rate.
4. Description* – Enter a description of the currency code.
5. Click on the SAVE button to create the new currency code; click on the CANCEL button to discard your changes.
EditEdit an Existing Currency Code
1. Select a currency code to edit.
There are two ways in which you can select a currency code:
- From the Currency Codes page - if you are viewing the list of currency codes, click on the "Edit" link for that currency code.
- From the Currency Code Details page - if you are viewing the details for a currency code, click on the EDIT DETAILS button on that page.
The Currency Code Details page will appear.
2. Make changes as necessary. Refer to the section "Add a New Currency Code" for an explanation of each of the input fields.
3. Click on the UPDATE button to save your changes. Click on the CANCEL button to discard your changes.

EditDelete an Existing Currency Code
1. Select a currency code to delete. Refer to the section "Edit an Existing Currency Code" on how to select a code.
2. The Currency Code Details page will appear. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
3. Click on the DELETE button to remove the currency code from the LegalSuite database.
4. You will be asked to confirm that you wish to delete the code. Click on "OK".
5. The code will be deleted from the LegalSuite database. It will no longer be seen on the Currency Codes page.
