To view, add, or edit all notes relating to a specific vendor.

LegalSuite provides a way through notes that you can store reminders, memos, or general information for each vendor. More than one note can be saved for a vendor.
EditView Vendor Notes
To view a list of vendor notes currently stored in the LegalSuite database, make the menu selection
Accounting⇒Vendors⇒Vendor Notes from the navigation bar.

By default, a list of all the notes for all vendors will be displayed on this page.
To narrow the list displayed:
- Select a search method from the Search pull-down menu.
- Specify a value for that search method.
- Click on the GO button to search the database and update the list displayed.
EditAdd a Vendor Note
To add a new vendor note, select the
ADD NEW ENTRY button from the Vendor Notes page. The Vendor Notes Details page will appear:

All fields marked with an asterisk "*" are required. A vendor note cannot be saved successfully until a value is specified for each of these fields.
1. Vendor Number* - Enter a vendor number you wish to use. Or click on the Search icon to bring up the Vendor Search window and make a selection from there.
2. Vendor Name – This non-editable field displays the name that corresponds to the vendor number that is displayed in the Vendor Number field.
3. Start Date* – Enter a start date for when the vendor note is to be used by LegalSuite. Type in a date in the format mm/dd/yyyy or select from the calendar icon.
4. End Date – Enter a date for when use of the vendor note is to end.
5. Last Modified- This non-editable field displays the last time this note was updated. Once you save the changes to this note, this field will be updated with the current date.
6. Print Where* – Select on which forms to print the note by clicking on the form name. To select multiple forms, hold down the CTRL key as you click on the form names.
7. Note – Enter text for the note to display on the selected forms.
Click on the SAVE button to add the note to the database. Click on the CANCEL button to discard your changes.
EditEdit an Existing Vendor Note
1. Select a vendor note to edit.
There are two ways to select a vendor note:
- From the Vendor Notes page - if you are viewing the list of vendor notes, click on the "Edit" link for the vendor note you wish to edit.
- From the Vendor Note Details page - if you are viewing the details for a vendor note, click on the EDIT DETAILS button on that page.
The Vendor Note Details page will appear.
2. Make changes as necessary. Refer to the section "Add a Vendor Note" for an explanation of each of the input fields.
3. Click on the SAVE button to save your changes. Click on the CANCEL button to discard your changes.

Edit Delete a Vendor Note
1. Select a vendor note to delete.
There are two ways to select a vendor note:
- From the Vendor Notes page - if you are viewing the list of vendor notes, click on the "Edit" link for the vendor note you wish to edit.
- From the Vendor Note Details page - if you are viewing the details for a vendor note, click on the EDIT DETAILS button on that page.
2. The Vendor Note Details page will appear. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
3. Click on the DELETE button to remove the note from the LegalSuite database.
4. You will be asked to confirm that you wish to delete the note. Click on "OK".
5. The vendor note will be deleted from the LegalSuite Database. It will no longer be seen on the Vendor Notes page.
