To define default values for a fixed set of values in Customer Maintenance.

Customer entries can be created, edited, and viewed in the LegalSuite database through the menu selection Customers⇒Customer Maintenance. As administrator, you have the ability to specify default values for a set of customer entry fields.
Make the menu selection
Administration⇒Utilities⇒CMM Default from the navigation bar.

All fields marked with an asterisk "*" are required.
NOTE: Once you save these default values, they will be used to replace the values for the same input fields of all customer entries that currently exist in the database. They will not, however, be used when creating a new customer entry.
1. Salesman – Select a person from the pull-down menu. This is a person in your company that will represent the customer.
2. Territory – Select a territory from the pull-down menu within which the customer is located. The sales person selected above should be assigned to this territory.
3. Currency Code* – Select from the pull-down menu the type of currency that is used to do business with the customer.
4. Terms Code* – Select the payment terms for the customer.
5. Credit Manager – Select the credit manager for the customer. This person is someone within your own company that handles the customer’s credit.
6. Credit Limit – Enter a credit limit that your company will enforce with the customer’s work orders.
7. Check Credit – Select a value from the pull-down menu regarding how you would like credit checking handled by the LegalSuite application.
• Always Pass –work orders from the customer are processed as if they passed their credit check.
• Always Fail – work orders from the customer are put on credit hold.
• Check – orders from the customer are placed on credit hold automatically if the customer has an open account and they are over their credit limit or aging limit of so many days.
3. Click on the SAVE button to save your changes. Click on the CANCEL button to discard your changes.
