EditPurpose
To specify a global note that will appear on the front page in the Bulletin Board area or on documents generated by LegalSuite.

As administrator, you can specify notes that can be displayed on the various documents, forms, slips, and sheets that LegalSuite generates. The notes can also be seen on the home page Bulletin Board or various online page displays of LegalSuite depending on what task the user is performing.
EditView a Global Note
To view a list of global notes currently defined in LegalSuite, make the menu selection
Administration⇒System Codes⇒Global Notes from the navigation bar.

To view information regarding a specific note, click on a title on the list. The Global Notes Details page will appear with details regarding that note. Refer to the section "Add a Global Note" for an explanation of each field on that page.
EditAdd A Global Note
To add a new global note, click on the ADD NEW ENTRY button on the Global Notes page.

All fields marked with an asterisk "*" are required.
1. Title* – Enter a title for the global note.
2. Start Date*, End Date* – Enter the dates that you wish the note to begin and end being used by LegalSuite.
- If a date is not entered, the note will not be used.
- If a start date is specified with no end date, the note will always be used, beginning on the start date.
- If no start date is specified but an end date is, then the note will be used beginning the date of entry until the specified end date.
- If no start or end date is specified, the note will not be used.
3. Display – Select from the pull-down menu where the note is to be seen,for exampled displayed on the screen or printed.
4. Print – Select from the pull-down menu on what forms the note is to be printed, for example on work orders, invoices, quotes, etc.
5. Note – Enter the text for the global note.
6. Click on the SAVE button to create the new global note. Click on the CANCEL button to discard your changes.
EditEdit an Existing Global Note
1. Select a global note to edit.
There are two ways in which you can select a note:
- From the Global Notes page - if you are viewing the list of global notes, click on the "Edit" link for that note.
- From the Global Notes Details page - if you are viewing the details for a global note, click on the EDIT DETAILS button on that page.
The Global Notes Details page will appear.
2. Make the desire changes. See the section Add a Global Note for more information on the input fields.
3. Click on the SAVE button to save your changes. Click on the CANCEL button do discard your changes.
EditDelete a Global Note
1. Select a global note to delete. Refer to the section "Edit a Global Note" on how to select a note.
2. Click on the DELETE button to remove the glbal note from the LegalSuite database.
3. You will be asked to confirm that you wish to delete the note. Click on "OK".
4. The note will be deleted from the LegalSuite database. It will no longer be seen on the Global Notes page.
