EditOverview
A general ledger can have several subsidiary ledgers, or subledgers, that are used to show details for part of the accounting records of your company. The total of the subledgers is the same as the line item amount for that account on the general ledger. This line item on the general ledger is called the controlling account. The controlling account can be associated with an account from the Chart of Accounts.
To specify an account from the Chart of Accounts for a controlling account on the general ledger, make the menu selection
Accounting⇒General Ledger⇒GL Interface Maintenance from the navigation bar.

Each of the input fields represents a controlling account on the general ledger. The pull-down menu for each of the input fields lists all the accounts from the Chart of Accounts. Select an account from the pull-down menu to associate with each of the general ledger controlling accounts.
